The Meter Monitor software package has a large number of features.  A relatively detailed list is presented here.

The Last Meter Readings window has the following features:

  • Displays last meter data readings in a spread-sheet format with columns that can be individually enabled.

  • The last meter data readings include meter tag and name, date and time, alarm flags, setup, communication and meter error flags and totalizer and average values.

  • The Last Meter Readings window can be printed to a selected printer.

The Graph window has the following display features:

  • Displays previously collected data in a graphical format, in real-time and history modes with a selectable time span.

  • The graph charts average, minimal and maximal values of monitored inputs where each value and input can individually be selected for displaying.

  • The graph also displays the date and time and digital values of the reading pointed to by the time cursor.

The View windows display the following data:

  • Port setup view displays complete setup of a selected port.

  • Network setup view displays complete setup of a selected network.

  • Communication view displays data transferred data between the Meter Monitor and a meter connected to a port selected for viewing.

  • Database view displays data transferred between the Meter Monitor and the MySQL database.

The System Setup enables a user to perform the following tasks:

  • To select a connection type (either direct or modem), normal and full intervals and other parameters and to set/edit  modem commands for each port individually.

  • To select normal and full intervals and other parameters for meters connected through the LAN.

  • To install a meter following an easy procedure similar to installing a PC application.

  • To create a virtual meter by adding or subtracting flow values of two real or virtual meters or a real and virtual meter following a similar procedure needed to install a meter.

  • To modify an existing meter setup (this feature can be used to quickly add a new meter with similar parameters to an existing one).

  • To enable and disable each meter individually.

  • To set alarm limits for each meter individually.

  • To enable alarm triggers and winter or summer limits and to specify a file to which alarms will be recorded.

  • To select database units for each meter type individually.

  • To modify a database password.

The Remote Setup enables a user to perform the following tasks:

  • To select meter units for each meter type individually.

  • To select between local and Greenwich Mean Time for meters which internally support real-time clock.

  • To set the meter gauge pressure offset.

The Server Setup enables a user to perform the following tasks:

  • To load the latest server setup as a starting point to set the client.

  • To define a server application folder.

  • To enable specific meter groups for displaying.

The Local Configuration enables a user to perform the following tasks:

  • To select how an alarm is to be announced.

  • To select display units for each meter type individually.

  • To set graph ranges for each meter individually.

  • To enable desired columns within the Last Meter Readings window.

  • To set specific dates and times to launch an external application to do automatic billing or for any other purpose.

  • To set specific date of a month, or day of a week, or time of a day to launch an external application to do automatic billing or for any other purpose.

The Security enables a user to perform the following tasks:

  • To protect the setup data with multiple security levels depending on the data sensitivity.

  • To login to and logout from the application.

  • To add or delete a user of a lower security level.

  • To change password.

The Help enables a user to see and perform the following:

  • The software and all DLLs version numbers as well as the release dates.

  • To use integrated help via contents, index search, or key word search.
