Project:
KONAL – Oil Filling Station Remote Survey and Control System
Client & Year:
Slavneft, Yaroslavl, Russia, 2000
Task:
Upgrade of the existing SCADA system (WinCC SCADA software by Siemens, network
of Simatic405 terminal devices installed by a previous contractor) with additional
70% automation functionality – management and surveillance of PetroCount
(by Rosemont) terminal devices and connection to the existing company business
information system.
Environment
Server: Linux, X-Windows, Oracle, GNU C/C++, Tcl/Tk
toolkit
Workstation: Linux, X-Windows, GNU C/C++, Tcl/Tk
toolkit
Features:
Management and surveillance software system that completely automates the
fuel filling station of the Yaroslavl Oil Refinery (flow of 45000 tons per
day)
Kernel Linux, Windows NT
Supported Functionality – Server:
Set of background processes that communicate and enable interaction between
the Oracle database and the following remote terminal devices: PetroCount
terminals, Simatic405 controllers (via WinnCC SCADA) and magnetic card readers.
Set of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) processes that enable the user to set/read
system parameters and present data retrieved from the system in various graphical
and tabular forms.
Supported Functionality – Workstation:
System control, by issuing commands to the Simatic405 controllers, depending
on the Oracle database, remote terminal unit status and user inputs.
Set of HMI processes that enable the user to set/read system parameters and
present data retrieved from the system in various graphical and tabular forms.
